Description
This course is intended for someone wanting to train as a new Manual Handling Instructor, or for an existing Instructor who has not attended a refresher course for a number of years and wishes to re-train.
Our 3-day Manual Handling Instructor course is designed to focus on developing delegates’ practical skills techniques; therefore many of the teaching sessions involve practical interaction. Time is set-aside at the end of each day to consolidate and revise what has been taught during the days training. The final day includes a revision session and a written appreciation test. Certificates are issued for successful completion of each course.
- Cover the requirements of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations (1992).
- Provide delegates with a broad understanding of functional anatomy and the causes of back pain.
- Equip delegates with sufficient background theory and practical appreciation to carry out basic instruction in manual handling techniques within their organisation.
This course provides excellent value for money if you have have a few delegates that need training, but if you have 4 or more delegates then it is generally more cost effective to run an ‘in-house’ course at your workplace at a date/time convenient to you. We can generally train up to 12 delegates in this way, and the cost per person becomes cheaper the more delegates you have. If this is the case, please contact us for a tailored quotation.
