Manual Handling Risk Assessor training courses
Overview of course content:

These courses are designed to focus on developing delegates’ practical skills techniques therefore many of the teaching sessions involve practical interaction. Time is set-aside at the end of each day to consolidate and revise what has been taught during the days training. The final day includes a revision session and a written appreciation test. Certificates are issued for successful completion of each course.

4 day Manual Handling Instructor course
(Practical & Risk Assessment)
  • Cover the requirements of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations (1992).
  • Set out a strategy of action towards implementing the Regulations.
  • Equip each individual with sufficient knowledge to organise and carry out manual handling assessments.
  • Equip delegates with sufficient background theory and practical appreciation to carry out basic instruction in manual handling techniques within their organisation.
2 day Manual Handling Instructor Refresher course
(Practical & Risk Assessment)
  • Update delegates in current practical skills and Statistics/legal cases relating to manual handling injury.
  • Revise anatomical knowledge and Practical technique.
  • Explore new ways of presenting and instructing Practical and theory relating to manual handling.
  • Address problems experienced by the trainers in their manual handling training sessions.
  • Assess the trainers practical abilities and solve any practical issues.
1 or 2 day Manual Handling Risk Assessment course
  • Update delegates in current practical skills and statistics/legal cases relating to manual handling injury.
  • Revise anatomical knowledge and practical technique.
