Our Display Screen Equipment Assessor training courses

Below are our most popular one-day and two-day DSE Assessor courses. These provide options for either basic or advanced training, as well as refresher training.

1 day DSE Assessor ‘intensive’ course

We will train up to 10 delegates to be Display Screen Equipment Assessors.

Course objectives:
To train the individual delegates to complete valid and reliable DSE assessments including:

  • familiarise delegates with the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations.
  • equip delegates with DSE risk reduction strategies beyond the minimum requirements of the DSE regulations.
  • introduce delegates to current knowledge and understanding of MSDs (musculoskeletal disorders).
  • completion of the DSE Assessment form.
  • correct workstation set up.
  • training the end-user in DSE best-practice techniques.
  • introduce procedures for on-going monitoring and review of employees.
2 day DSE Assessor ‘advanced’ course

We will train up to 12 delegates to be advanced Display Screen Equipment Assessors.

Course objectives:
To train the individual delegates to complete valid and reliable DSE assessments including:

  • familiarise delegates with the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations.
  • equip delegates with DSE risk reduction strategies beyond the minimum requirements of the DSE regulations.
  • familiarise delegates with current knowledge and understanding of MSDs (musculoskeletal disorders).
  • design and completion of a bespoke DSE Assessment form.
  • in-depth coverage of correct workstation set up, including dealing with unusual layouts users with specific requirements.
  • training the end-user in DSE best-practice techniques.
  • familiarise delegates with procedures for on-going monitoring and review of employees.
1 day Display Screen Equipment Assessor ‘refresher’ course

We will provide refresher training for up to 10 of your Display Screen Equipment Assessors.

We recommend that refresher training is completed every 3 years. (Delegates do not need to have completed previous training with us).
