Understand key health and safety legislation relating to manual handling, including the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and the Manual Handling Operations Regulations (1992)

Identify high-risk manual handling activities and understand the causes and effects of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs)

Use ergonomic principles to improve safety and reduce cumulative strain both at work and at home

Carry out manual handling risk assessments using the TILE (Task, Individual, Load, Environment) method
