Driver CPC Training
Osteopaths For Industry has developed a series of expert musculoskeletal injury-prevention courses for the UK’s professional drivers. These courses constitute part of a drivers legal requirement to complete 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years in order to keep their driver ‘Certificate of Professional Competence’ (CPC) card.
We have worked with most of the major organisations in the logistics and transport industries over the last 28 years, providing injury prevention, risk assessment and consultancy services. In response to the injuries that we have observed in professional drivers, we have created several courses specifically aimed at addressing the hazards that can occur from working in their unique environment. These courses combine the anatomical expertise of our trainers (all of which are also qualified osteopaths or physiotherapists), along with the ergonomic knowledge that we have gained from years of ‘on the job’ training in-depth case studies.
Our Driver CPC Injury Prevention courses cover the following areas:
- Anatomy of a Good Seating Posture
- Driver Fatigue
- Ergonomic Appreciation
- Pain Awareness and Musculoskeletal Health Concerns
- Advice and Skills Training for goods Loading and Unloading
- Optimising the Existing Ergonomics of the Driver’s Cab
- Proactive Approaches to Musculoskeletal Health
